All motion begins with the core.  It is the center of your power.

The Core Activator is a fitness machine used by Olympic and professional athletes.  It works the entire core musculature easily and safely while reducing compression loads on the spine. The Core Activator has the ability to stabilize, mobilize, and strengthen lumbar musculature through core intervention and training or isolated muscle groups. It helps groove proper neurological movement patterns which are essential to the life and health of your spine. Continued use of the core activator teaches muscle memory to engage your core for everyday activities as well as dynamic movements.  It is helpful in alleviating back pain and gaining higher performance. A stable, strong core is vital to top caliber athletes and will help you as well.  TIGHTEN THE CORE.

The advantage of the Core Activator is that it affects multiple planes. Flexion and extension are a proven pumping mechanism for the disc that delivers nutrition to the cells of the discs to keep them healthy.

Special thanks to Professor Stuart McGill, Dr. Craig Liebenson and Dr. Malik Slosberg; for their contributions in our respected fields, data gathering to enhance the knowledge base and foundation for the creation of this product. Research has proven that motion is essential to the life of your spine.

COMING SOON, the Core Activator and now home versions to help you safely and effectively TIGHTEN THE CORE.

The LumbarROM LR45

The Core Activator

The LR 45 therapy model
The LR55 Co Contractor
The VBR machines deliver range of motion to the low back unlike any other piece of exercise or rehab equipment on the market today. The LR45 is a low back rehabilitation machine that allows the physician, therapist, trainer or individual user to deliver motion into the lumbar region while the user is in a biomechanically friendly position (without compressing the discs). The Core Activator (above right) takes the same premise as the original LR45 therapy model and brings it to a fitness version. Seated machines compress the spine. Adding motion to a compressed spine will cause herniations over time. By placing the user's spine in a non load bearing position we can now safely exercise the low back properly. It is the only low back machine on the market that places the spine in a safe, neutral position.

The Core Activator is one of the most effective tools for core training on the market today. It is extremely safe and versatile.

Bershawn "Batman" Jackson, Olympic Gold and Bronze Medalist, 2005 World Champion, 2009 Bronze Medalist World Games used the Core Activator as part of his overall training program to prepare for the Olympics.  Bershawn currently holds the fastest time in the world in the 400-meter hurdles.

“I love the Core Activator. It helped me strengthen my back and other core muscles to prepare for the Olympics and the World Games.  I still use it today and would recommend it to any athlete interested in strengthening their core muscles and improving their speed.”

" I have been a golf teacher for a long time. I have experienced back pain several times in my career due to my diligent practice habits. I have had 3 operations on my back and I know how debilitating back pain can be for a golfer. In fact, 80 percent of all golfers will suffer from some sort of back problems during their career.
The only thing that has significantly helped my back and strengthened the core muscles has been the Core Activator. Just using the trainer a few miniutes a day will protect your back from serious injury and prepare you to make your best swing at the ball"

Strength and Body Builders - warm up and stretch your low back safely prior to more dynamic and heavy load bearing exercises.  Core utilization will increase stamina and strength in all your exercises.

Athletes - maintaining a flexible and healthy CORE will help with your athletic productivity.  Learn how to train your low back, abs, obliques in tandom, safely.  Engaging the core will lead to increased speed, faster swing speeds, more powerful jumps, and take pressure off of vulnerable joints.

Runners - the pounding your low back takes while running can cause stiffness and pain.  Delivering motion to your low back prior to and after running will enhance your training. Knowing how to tighten the core while running will enhance speed and endurance and limit risk of injury.

Golfers - warm up prior to your round of golf and stretch and cool down afterwards.  We all know that back pain is the number one problem keeping golfers off the course.  Tighten your core to deliver superior performance, and reduce injuries.  Muscle memory to use your core while swinging will increase swing speed allowing you to hit the ball further, safely.

Desk Job - Using the weight assistance while removing compression from your spine means you can use these machines to deliver motion to your low back throughout the day.  Sitting for extended periods compresses the discs and can cause stiffness and pain.  Motion is needed to maintain a flexible and healthy pain free back. Tightening the Core and abdominal bracing while getting into and out of your chair will reduce low back pain and injuries.

Corporate Wellness - incorporating a safe and easy low back strengthening and stretching regimen will increase productivity and increase overall well being.

Motion is needed to deliver nutrients to the spine to promote healing.  Delivering motion into the lumbar discs and facet joints increases circulation, increases nutrition to the disc, waste products are removed, oxygen is delivered and concentrations are improved.

How then, do we deliver motion to the spine if there is pain involved?  Pathology involving the disc's annular fibers cause it to be more susceptible to injury when loads are placed on it.  Other back machines currently on the market have the exerciser seated during excercise.  Sitting is a flexion posture and loads the disc by 1.8x the body weight.
So why load an injured disc and then add resistance?  Why load a healthy disc or joint prior to an exercise?
